I booked through hrp.org, mostly while I was half-watching TV the night before, and the whole visit ended up being really straightforward. The location was easy for us to get to, just a short walk from the tube, and there were loads of buses around too. We’d had coffee beforehand so I was already in a decent mood, but it was nice not having to worry about parking or wandering around trying to find the entrance. Overall, just a simple, stress-free day out.

"Went on a busy weekend…"
Went on a busy weekend and it was still easy to get around, which surprised me. The staff were really on it too, kept the queues moving and everything felt calm, no stress at all.

Booked our tickets through hrp.org and, shockingly, the website actually behaved itself. The place itself was really interesting and we did enjoy wandering around, but considering the ticket price, I was expecting a bit more to be included. Maybe a complimentary crown or at least a guided tour by a ghost? Overall, it was a good day out, just not exactly what I’d call great value for money.

I mean, booking the tickets was quick and, yeah, everything went fine for me. It was just kind of straightforward, no real issues or anything, so overall I’d say it was a smooth experience.

"Heads Up: The Gift Shop Is Overpriced"
Just a quick warning for anyone planning to stop by the gift shop, the prices are way higher than I expected. Some of the items were cute, but it felt like everything was marked up a lot. If you're thinking about buying souvenirs, you might want to check prices elsewhere first or be prepared to spend more than planned.

"Really enjoyed the Tower of London tour"
I booked a Tower of London tour through hrp.org.uk and had a really good time. Our guide knew so much, but it never felt like we were stuck in a boring history class. There was a nice mix of proper history, fun little stories, and some time to wander and look around ourselves. The group size was fine too, not too packed or anything. Only small issue was the meeting point could’ve been a bit clearer, we ended up walking the wrong way at first. But once we found it, everything was great. Definately worth it and I’d book again.

Booked through hrp.org and had such a nice day out. There were so many good places to take photos, especially around the gardens and the older buildings... just really everywhere you looked. It was easy to wander around at our own pace too, which I liked, because sometimes these places can feel a bit rushed, but this didn’t. Got loads of pics and still felt like we could just take it all in. Would definitely go again.

"Decent Drinks, Food Could Be Better"
The drinks were good, so I’ll give them credit for that. The food wasn’t bad, but it was a little bland, especially for the price. Overall, not a terrible experience, I just expected a bit more

"Worth checking out"
I’d say it’s worth it if you’re already visiting. Overall, I had a good time and it felt like a nice stop to add to the day. There were a couple little things that part was weird, but nothing that ruined the experience.

"Nice family day out, but a few annoyances"
We went with the kids and overall it was a nice day. There was plenty to see, and they definitely enjoyed parts of it, so I can’t complain too much. That said, some areas were really busy and it wasn’t the easiest place to get around with a buggy. The food was also quite expensive for what it was. The staff were helpful, which made things better, but I was a bit annoyed that the terms seemed to have changed from what I’d expected when booking. It just felt like one of those things you only find out once you’re already there. Good for a family day out, but not quite as relaxed as I was hoping

"Nice day out, but the signs threw me off"
I visited after looking it up on Historic Royal Palaces and overall had a decent day. I went with a friend, and we both ended up laughing a bit because we kept doubling back thanks to the signs being kind of unclear. It wasn’t a huge problem or anything, but clearer directions would definitely make the visit smoother...

"Nice setting, but not as smooth as promised"
I went to an evening event I booked through hrp.org, and while the palace itself looked incredible and the staff were genuinely friendly, the whole experience didn’t really match what I expected. It was made to sound like a polished, well-organised night, but the entry queues dragged on and the signs weren’t clear enough, so it felt a bit frustrating from the start. The drinks were also expensive, which didn’t help. I still had a decent evening overall, but for the price, I expected things to run a lot more smoothly.

"Made the Visit More Enjoyable"
I used the audio guide when visiting through hrp.org.uk, and overall I thought it was good. Compared to just walking around and reading the signs like I usually do, it made the whole visit feel a lot easier to follow and more interesting. The sound was clear, and the stories were engaging without dragging on too much. A couple of parts felt a little slow, and I did have to replay one section because I missed something, but it wasn’t a big deal. I’d definitely use it again on another visit.

"A really fun day at the Tower"
Booked our Tower of London visit through hrp.org.uk and it was super straightforward, which is always a win. Our guide was funny and clearly knew loads, but it never felt like being stuck in a history class, thankfully. We ended up staying way longer than we expected, especially around the Crown Jewels and the old prison areas, those bits were fascinating, and a little creepy in the best way. The staff were really friendly too. It’s not exactly a cheap day out, but for everything you get, I’d say it felt worth it

We had a small issue with our tickets, and the staff sorted it out really quickly, without making a big deal of it. Everyone we talked to was friendly, helpful, and knew exactly where to send us. It made the whole day feel a lot easier.

"Better Than I Expected"
I mostly went for the history side of things, the exhibits were great. I expected it to be interesting, but maybe a bit dry, and it ended up being way more engaging than I thought. There was plenty to look at, the information was clear without making you feel like you had to read forever, and some sections were really well kept. I ended up spending a few hours there easily without getting bored.

"Nice Displays, But Not Sure It Was Worth the Price"
The seasonal displays were and I did enjoy walking around, but it felt a little crowded in spots. A few areas were also kind of underwhelming, especially considering the ticket price. I’m glad I went, but I probably expected a bit more for what it cost.

"Some really good history, though not totally perfect"
I mean, overall, the guides were good and, like, explained the history in a way that was easy to follow. There were some really interesting bits, for sure. The only thing is, a few of the signs were kind of confusing at times, so I had to stop and reread them a bit. Still, I’d say it was a decent experience.
